Storyboard Text

  • It sure is nice out here. We should be thankful to God.
  • Don't you mean Allah or was it Yahweh?
  • Well Christians call God, well God! and Jews call him Yahweh and Muslims call him Allah! They each all have one God, but this doesn't mean that everything about them is the same.
  • Like...?
  • Well...Christians believe that Jesus was the Son of God! and Jews and Muslims believe that he was just a prophet. They all have separate holy books too. For Christians it's the bible, Jews it's the Talmud and Torah, and Muslims have the Koran.
  • Wow! What else?
  • Melissa and Joyce are outside enjoying the weather when suddenly they both start up a conversation on how thankful they are to God for giving them this wonderful weather.
  • Muhammed was the founder of Islam, Moses founded Judaism, and Jesus Christ founded Christianity. Judaism is the oldest, then Islam, then Christianity. While most are Sunni Muslim, and some Shia in Iran, in the middle east, Jews and Christians are mostly found in Israel.
  • Melissa is talking about how all three religions, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, are all monotheistic, meaning they all have the same God, even if they don't call him God.
  • Here's another cool fact on Jews! They're both a religious group and an ethnic group.
  • Melissa is explaining to Joyce about a few differences between the three major western world religions. The Talmud contains the laws and culture of Jews and the Torah consists of mostly for religions purposes.
  • No I did not!
  • Did YOU know that Jews worship in a synagogue, Muslims in a mosque and Christians worship at church?
  • Melissa is explaining who founded what in each religious group. Judaism is about 2200 BC, Islam is about 610 AD, and Christianity is about 50 AD.
  • Joyce thanks Melissa.
