Claudius and Gertrude tell Hamlet that they are now together and they want Hamlet to stay with them instead of going back to Wittenberg.
Laertes and Polonius talk to Ophelia about Hamlet and they don't think they should be together.
Marcellus and Horatio tell Hamlet about the ghost just as the ghost arrives again. Hamlet sees that the ghost looks just like his dad and the ghost only wants to talk to Hamlet.
The ghost tells Hamlet he is the ghost of Hamlet's father and Hamlet needs to take revenge for the horrible murder of his father committed by his uncle Claudius.
The ghost leaves and Hamlet vows to avenge his father's death.
