Life in the Medieval Town

This man is a shoemaker, so he doesn't earn much money, and life is hard.
I'm going to be going around the town and showing you what happens on an average day in the town.
Most people lived in small, smoky houses with only one room.
Most common folk couldn't afford a doctor or medicine.
Doctors would usually treat illness or injury by "bleeding:" the patient and giving them herbs.
It was common for kids to play with dolls or wooden swords.
Adults would spend their free time playing games like chess or dancing.
Almost every town had merchants that would buy and sell goods on the side of the road.
Some people tried to start their own shop but failed.
This is the blacksmith's apprentice. He has to work very hard and make a masterpiece before he can become a true blacksmith.
Before there was court you would have a trial by being thrown into a well. If you floated you were considered guilty, if you didn't you would drown but be considered innocent. Either way, you'd die.
This man has stolen from the doctor and has been sentenced to die.
