Businesses contribute to the Canada, Alberta, and Calgary economic goals to grow the economy and create jobs for people such as this barber
In the business cycle, things like me buying this soda contribute to an "upwards movement" of GDP because I am giving money to a business to pay taxes with and pay their employees
Because of taxes paid by you and businesses, were able to afford to balance budgets for things like public transport, roads, etc,
