I work on a farm, where we grow cotton, in the South.
We sell clothing that people make.
We get many of our items from ships that deliver the things we sell.
The South had very few cities, and the North had many cities..
The northern and southern colonies were very different. The south had many large farms, called plantations. and the North had a lot of factories.
The North had a lot of stores, where people sold what they made.
The South had many slaves, who were forced to work for no money.
