Juliet has to choose between to marrying Paris or being disowned
Juliet visited Friar with hopes for another solution other than death.
The plan was she would fall into a sleep-like death and when everyone believes she's dead, Romeo could come and take her to where he currently lives.
Friar Laurance sends a messanger to Mantua to inform Romeo of the plan, but Balthasar informs Romeo Juliet is actually dead before he gets the chance.
Romeo has an encounter with Paris on his way to Juliet, and they fight. Romeo wins and kills Paris.
Romeo sees Juliet and drinks the poison. He kisses her, and as she awakens, he dies. Unable to live without Romeo, Juliet takes his dagger and kills herself.
After seeing what their fued had caused, the Montagues and the Capulets resolved their issues.
