  • Act 3 Scene 1
  • Gentleman, for shame forbear this outrage! Tybalt! Mercutio!
  • Act 3 Scene 2
  • O break, my heart, poor bankrout, break at once!
  • In Act 3 of Romeo and Juliet, we see the effect of both Tybalt and Mercuito's death on Romeo and Juliet's marriage.
  • Act 3 Scene 3
  • A gentler judgment vanished from his lips: Not body's death, but body's banishment.
  • Romeo tries to intervene in a fight between Mercutio and Tybalt. Romeo would usually side with Mercuito because of their friendship. However, Romeo and Juliet are married; making Tybalt and Romeo cousins.
  • Act 3 Scene 4
  • Sir Paris, I will make a desperate tender Of my child's love. I think she will be ruled in all respects of me.
  • Juliet has suspicions that Romeo is dead. However, when the nurse first enters she neglects to tell Juliet that Tybalt has died, not Romeo. Eventually, the nurse explains to Juliet that Romeo killed Tybalt.
  • Act 3 Scene 5
  • Farewell. I will omit no opportunity that may convey my greetings, love, to thee.
  • Romeo visits Friar Lawrence for advice on what he should do about his banishment. Romeo also expresses how he thinks his punishment is unjust. The Friar then tells Romeo that he is lucky that the Prince did not kill him.
  • After Romeo's actions and banishment the Capulet's decide to force Juliet to marry Paris. This is mainly because they do not want Romeo and Juliet to become married. They feel that Romeo is a threat to their family.
  • Romeo and Juliet meet one last time before Romeo leaves Verona. Both Romeo and Juliet describe how they wish they could live their lives together. They both know that this is impossible because of the recent events.
