As we have learned in "March", it is clear to see what kind of impact it had on the civil rights movement throughout.
John Lewis was someone who fought for freedom and equal rights. It is clear to see how that has shaped history.
How does this story translate into history today?
Good question. People are still fighting for their rights today, as this has not gone away. In order to grow, "March" teaches us that history will be forever. While we still have awhile to go, Lewis's story shows to not give up, and never back down from those who may say otherwise.
I can understand that. History does tend to repeat itself, and we are seeing that trend in today's society. I think "March" teaches us that we should stand for what we believe in, no matter what the outcome may be.
Exactly. We see the struggles Lewis went through, but it doesn't mean it's over. There are ways that our current history can be changed, and that starts with us.
