  • *sniff* Uhhh! Why is it so cold! and why do I have such a bad headache?!
  • ...Wait, why do I have a surgical mask in my house?!
  • If it's to help the general public...then why not?
  • Influenza (The Flu)
  • All of a sudden, I don't feel too well....
  • Do you have the Flu? Some symptoms are: Fever, Chills, Cough, Sore throat, Runny or stuffy nose, Muscle or body aches, Headaches, Tiredness, Vomiting, and Diarrhea
  • I HAVE POSSIBILITY OF DYING FROM THIS?!
  • The flu is spread by coughing and sneezing , so make sure to wash you hands! But if you have the flue already, wear a mask also! It will help not spread the disease.
  • Oh my gosh! I can't believe this!
  • CDC recommends the antiviral drugs: Relenza: Inhaler, Tamiflu: Taken by mouth, Rapivab: given by vain (at the hospital)
  • FUN FACT TIME: Annual flu viruses infect up to 20% of Americans, put 200,000 in the hospital with flu-related complications, and kill about 36,000 people

  • ANOTHER FUN FACT: The single deadliest flu pandemic in history was the Spanish flu pandemic during 1918-1919. Occurring in the three waves of increasing lethality, the Spanish flu killed more people in 24 weeks than AIDS did in 24 years. It also killed more people in one year than smallpox or the Black Plague did in 50 years.
