Today, I'm going to talk to you about the process of photosynthesis
What is photosynthesis?
Converting sun light into chemical energy used to fuel organism's activities
So how do plants do it?
Chloroplasts in the leaf traps sunlight/ light energy and carbon dioxide enters the leaf
Light hits the pigment in the membrane of a thylakoid, splitting the water into oxygen
Light energy, water, carbon dioxide mixed together to form sugar for the plant.
The oxygen created when sunlight hits the pigment then flow out of the leaf
Sugar then flow to another part of the tree to be processed into chemical energy.
Now you know how photosynthesis works, and how it it very helpful for the environment.
