  • "At last I have him. I have him. Look at that."
  • "You've caught him."
  • "I Had to do it. You know that we would never have been safe while he was alive. You know the people would have flocked to him in prison. They loved him as if he was a prince. He had all the charm...I had to kill him. I had too.
  • "I forgive you. I forgive you, Henry."
  • "Do you forgive me? Even if no one else ever does? Can you forgive me? Elizabeth? Elizabeth of York-can you forgive me?"
  • " Tonight it does not look to me as if the white rose and the red are blooming together as one, tonight it as if the white rose of York has been stabbed in its pure white heart and its bleeding scarlet red. Tonight, I know that there is much to forgive."
  • As the days pass, Elizabeth rejoices her marriage. She  becomes happy when the catch the boy who caused the war. It means Henry can be home and they can live peacefully in the castle with their son.
  • But not before Henry asked for forgiveness for killing Richard. Elizabeth still feels pain from it, but cannot overlook her love for Henry and the family they have made.
  • This symbolizes that the white rose that represents  Elizabeth's innocence is bleeding. It is hurt as she is and she knows it will heal.
