As the days pass, Elizabeth rejoices her marriage. She becomes happy when the catch the boy who caused the war. It means Henry can be home and they can live peacefully in the castle with their son.
But not before Henry asked for forgiveness for killing Richard. Elizabeth still feels pain from it, but cannot overlook her love for Henry and the family they have made.
This symbolizes that the white rose that represents Elizabeth's innocence is bleeding. It is hurt as she is and she knows it will heal.
