  • In the beginning of the story, in ancient times, a king decided if a person is innocent or guilty. The people accused were to choose between two doors. Behind one of the doors was a man eating tiger and behind the other was a fair maiden which you were to marry immediately.  
  • Climax
  • The kings daughter falls in love with a handsome commoner. The king finds out and the handsome commoner is sentenced to choose his fate.
  • Falling Action
  • The king chose the worst beast in the whole kingdom alone with the fairest maiden. The princess knows the fair maiden and has been jealous. The princess later than finds out which door contains the tiger and which door contains the fair maiden.
  • Resolution
  • The day the handsome man chooses his fate arrived, the man looks to the princess then looks at the doors,
  • The man goes to the door.
  • At the end of the story the author leaves the reader unknown of what was behind the door.  The author wanted us to decide ourselves. At the end of the story, the princess takes off and gets behind a door removing the tiger and he happened to open that door.
