Storyboard Text

  • In this lesson, we will review the different types of bark and we will demonstrate how our sense of touch will help us explore the environment.
  • The materials we will be using are, a database program to create a Venn Diagram, a shoebox, different barks, pine needles, leafs and any natural objects.
  • We will now explore the varieties of natural objects found.
  • Can you tell me what color the natural objects are? What are the different textures? How do they feel?
  • Now let's blindfold each other while examing the natural objects. Were your senses sharper while being blindfolded? How did it feel to be blindfolded?
  • Why is it important to use our sense of touch for this activity? What will happen if you didn't have a sense of touch?
