  • LEDCs can be identified by three main factors: The people have low incomes. They have poor nutrition, health care, and education. The economy is unstable.
  • Poorer Countries are less economically developed.
  • They include countries in Asia like Afganistan and Nepal.
  • More Economically Developed Countries (MEDC's)
  • They include countries in Europe like Britain and France.
  • MEDC's can be identified by: Industrial development. Good education. Good health care. A strong economy
  • Richer Countries are more economically developed.
  • They also include countries like Canada and America
  • The Gap
  • GNP is the value of all finished goods and services produced in a country in one year by its nationals.
  • GNP - Gross National Product is used to measure the gap between LEDC's and MEDC's.
