The Quest of Perseus
Perseus goes on a journey to bring back Medusa's head to King Polydectes.
The king wishes to marry Perseus' mother, Danae, without having to assume Perseus as his son. I attempts to kill him, he tricks the boy into going on a journey to find Medusa.
Hermes and Athena promised Perseus that they would help him along the way.
Hermes soon came to Perseus to give him a sword and shield from him and Athena and some guidance. He told Perseus to find the gray women to ask them where the nymphs were.
The gray women, Perseus was told, shared one eye between all of them, and Hermes told him to take the eye until they gave information on where the nymphs were. This worked and the women directed Perseus to Hyperboreans.
When Perseus reached the land of the Hyperboreans, he was showered with gifts to help him kill Medusa including winged shoes, an invisibility cap, and a stretching wallet.
