Chlamydia can be prevented in a few ways.
Chlamydia can be prevented by having a long term monogamous relationship with a partner who has been tested and got negative for STDs
Another way to prevent Chlamydia is to use latex condoms the right way during intercourse.
This can be treated with antibiotics. One of these is Azithromycin (1g orally in a single dose)
Another kind of antibiotics you can take is Doxycycline (100mg orally twice a day for seven days).
People should refrain from sexual activity 7 days after taking the antibiotics or until you finish a seven-day cycle of antibiotics.
