What causes West Nile?
West Nile Virus is what causes that infection.
The virus comes from birds. A mosquito bites a bird, gets the virus then bites a human and the human gets the virus and it keeps in the same way.
West Nile Virus is a retrovirus.
The virus can affect humans, horses, birds, and other mammals.
The virus is in a bird then the bird is bitten by a mosquito and then the transfers the virus to a human, horse, or any bird.
West Nile Virus can affect your immune system, and if you are old then you have a better chance of getting sick.
Some symptoms are fever, headache, body aches, skin rash, and swollen lymph glands.
