  • In the story "The Cask Of Amontillado" by Edgar Allen Poe, There was a guy named Montresor he's the narrator and he was insulted by this other guy named Fortunato. since Fortunato insulted Montresor, Montresor wants revenge and kills him.
  • Textual Evidence
  • I will get revenge!
  • Montresor's revenge is justified!
  • Analysis
  • Should of never insulted me!
  • Montresor's revenge is justified because Fortunato insulted him and because he insulted him he killed him.
  • conclusion
  • Montresor stated in the story "Fortunato had insulted me. So I vowed revenge" (27). "He had no idea that i was smiling at the thought of his death" (27).
  • That shows how bad Montresor wanted revenge. He wanted revenge so bad that he killed Furtunato because he didnt want him to get away with the insults.
  • Fortunato's insults were so strong to Montresor. So Montresor wanted revenge and he got it!
