  • Let's just go over your house
  • EXT. COMMUNITY PARK KATIE, a high school student just returning from school waits for her friend
  • Are we going over yours or mine?
  • Mary, I gotta go. I think I'm in trouble
  • CU. (the phone rings) Katie answers the phone slowly, clearly recognizing that it is her mother
  • Yeah, she keeps yelling at me and telling me that its my fault her and my dad's marriage is falling apart.
  • Young Lady! you are in so much trouble
  • Why, Is it your mom again?
  • (confused) What happened?
  • Katie comes out of the garage as fast as she could. Her mother was waiting for her and her father was in the back
  • Katie there is no need to cry. It's not that serious
  • Katie gets up from the bench and runs home, scared of what may happen if she did not make it home on time
  • You should not be my responsibility Katie
  • Mom, I wont do it again. I'll come home on time
  • Katie is in her room, miserable.
  • I dont wanna talk about it
  • Are you okay?
  • Does anyone even care? My friend seems like she cares but does not really do anything. My mom always yells at me and my dad makes it all worse.
  • INT. Katie's house-morning Katie wakes up, gets dresses without saying hi to her mom or dad and with no breakfast
  • Katie was sad for the whole school day and did not talk to anyone
  • 3......2.........1
  • Hey Katie
  • VO. If signs of depression are seen in loved ones please do something about it. Call a counselor, stay positive, and listen to what they are feeling. In doing all these things, we can finally put an end to suicide
  • VO.Suicide is the second leading cause of deaths in people of ages 10-24. Four out of five teens who commit suicide have given clear warning signs
