  • EXPOSITION
  • Welcome to the island of Crete! I want you to build me a maze and tower.
  • Let's get to work!
  • RISING ACTION
  • Prisoners?
  • Thank you! The maze will be great for prisoners.
  • RISING ACTION
  • I should make wings!
  • An inventor Daedalus and his son Icarus were asked by King Minos to come to the island of Crete and build him a palace and a maze inside. They agreed and got to work!
  • CLIMAX
  • Look we are flying! But don't fly to high!
  • When, they finished building they found out that the maze was for the prisoners and a Minotaur. They asked to leave Crete, but King Minos refused because he didn't want others to find out about the maze.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • One night, Daedalus decided that he needed to leave Crete. He saw birds and got the idea to make wings and fly away from Crete with Icarus.
  • RESOLUTION
  • MY SON!
  • The two started flying away from Crete on their wings. Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly to close to the sun. But Icarus wanted to be the best, so he started to fly closer to the sun.
  • I know. But I have to fly higher than the sun!
  • Icarus didn't listen to his father and flew up near the sun. His wax that was holding his wings on him melted off and his wings fell off. He was going to fall to the depth of the ocean.
  • AHHH! MY WINGS ARE FALLING!
  • Icarus fell to the ocean with sharks and drowned. Daedalus had to watch his son drown and die. You should always respect your parents they know best.
