Storyboard Text

  • I think the main characters are Mr.Summers and. Mr.and Mrs. Hutchinson.
  • It is June 17th on a bright sunny day in a town in the USA in 1948.
  • People are beginning to gather in the town square, and waiting for the lottery to start.
  • The rising action is when everyone in the town starts to pick their paper and everyone is anxious to see if they "won".
  • The external conflict is that Mr. Hutchinson gets the paper with the black dot. Which means he " won ".
  • I think that the internal conflict is that Mrs. Hutchinson is worried about he husband, so she makes them redo the lottery for their family.
  • I think that the climax is when they draw for real, and when everyone confirms thatMrs. Hutchinson gets the paper with the black dot she is stoned to death.
  • I don't think that there is a happy resolution to this story. I think that this story ends with the most exiting part.
  • I actually liked the ending of this story. I do because it left me thinking after I read it. Why would they do this? Was it ever going to stop?I also liked it because its basically telling you that the world isn't perfect, and that bad things can happen.
