Please, can I make a doctors appointment for a check up as i have found a bump on my left Brest and would like for it to be checked.
Harry has been experiencing diarrhea and stomach pain for the last four days. His wife calls the doctors for an appointment. This is called a third person reference since it is someone other than Harry who called to make and appointment.
Harry goes for the consultation at the GPs office where they run some tests such as Blood and urine. The doctor also takes some measurements such as the blood pressure, peak flow, hight, weight, and BMI. The doctor also asks Harry about is medical history and his family's medical history. This is called an Investigation referral because it is done by the GP.
Because of the test results, the doctor decided to investigate further this meant the GP referred Harry to a specialist doctor called a gastroenterologist for specialist testing such as an X-ray, MRI scan and a colonoscopy.
The specialist will run some tests to confirm that Harry has Crohn's disease as the symptoms are similar to a lot of other diseases. This is called a further investigation reference as it is called out by the hospital by a specialist.
The Xray came back showing that the bowel is inflamed this along with all the other symptoms shows that Harry has Crohn's disease.
the Doctor will tell Harry giving him the treatment options the first is to take medication to reduce inflammation in the digestive system – usually steroid tablets the second option is to have surgery to remove a small part of the digestive system- this option can sometimes be better depending on the severity of the information. With the correct steps in place, Harry can live a normal life.
