Battle of Shiloh
Civil War started when the Battle of Fort Sumter started. It happened in April 12, 1861 and ended in the next day with a surprisingly Confederate win. It was the bloodiest battle in Civil War.
The first fierce battle that was fought along the sea and the most of the James River. It resulted in a draw.
Appomattox Court House, Virginia April 9, 1865
Lee surrenders to Grant in the Appomattox Court House thus almost ending the Civil War. Jefferson Davis was captured on May 10 on Georgia, hoping to regroup his government. Civil War is officially over ending with an overall Union victory.
