Storyboard Text

  • Ahhhhhh! I'm already an orphan.
  • Thank you, sir.
  • Hurricanes are formed when a tropical storm draws energy from the warm humid air at the ocean's surface. As air rises it forms clouds and draws more air into the system.
  • Our founding father Alexander Hamilton was only 17 when a category 5 hurricane hit his hometown. Changing his life forever.
  • Before the hurricane hit, young Alexander worked at a shop, trading goods.
  • T'was the year 1772 when a devastating maritime tornado A.K.A hurricane formed during a tropical storm. Winds up to 320 kilometers per hour violently spiraled toward the eye of the storm.
  • *whimpering*
  • The hurricane eventually ripped through Hamilton's small island of St. Croix. With it, bringing high waves and severe flooding.
  • It crushed towns, cut new channels, and killed at least 50 people.
  • Hamilton, however, was smart and stayed inside for the duration of the storm. He was one of the few survivors.
