  • Opening Video Segment (Grab attention)
  • Short video segment showing the response of EMS personnel to the scene of a motor vehicle collision and the actions of the personnel
  • (Fade in) Title and Introduction
  • Opening with the title graphics , the introduction then poses the question, using scripted audio track and photographic images, what would happen if there were no EMTs to respond? The stress point is that the community needs people who are willing to give of themselves to serve their community as EMS providers. Reinforcement includes that, although it isn't easy, the payoff is worth the effort. Graphics will be layered on a background layer.
  • Get In Here And Help! Getting A Start In EMS
  • What would happen if your neighbor called 911 and nobody responded to help? Could you prevent this from happening?
  • (Fade in) What EMS Does
  • The next scene focuses on the locations the work is performed and the tasks involved. This will be accomplished using some video segments or narrated photographs (or combination of both) showing EMS in action. Graphic elements will be layered upon a background layer.
  • Daytime or nighttime, EMS is always on call to help out our neighbors in the community in their time of need. Let's take a look at some of the situations in which EMS is involved.
  • Using narrated photographs and on-screen graphics, this segment will outline the steps for becoming a volunteer with an EMS operational program. It will also cover the importance of having an affiliation in order to become licensed as an EMT. Graphic elements will be layered upon a background layer
  • (Fade in) Where to get involved.
  • Interested? Good. I knew the community could count on you. Let me tell you about affiliation and becoming a volunteer EMS provider.
  • Vol. F.D.
  • (Fade in) Learning the trade
  • Using audio narrated on-screen graphics and photographs, this segment will explain the various options available for the volunteer to seek EMT training including community colleges, UMBC, local fire/rescue training academies, and the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute. Stress the importance of being prepared for the course work. Also stress free college level work as a volunteer. At the conclusion of the training, the learner will be eligible to take the licensing examination. Graphic elements will be layered upon a background layer.
  • There are several options to receive your initial EMT training. The best part is that many of these options are free.
  • Training Academy
  • (Fade in) Closing segment and motivation reinforcement
  • Remotivate the learner using audio narrated photographs and textual graphics. The emphasis on this remotivation will be on the number of calls for EMS assistance everyday across Maryland, which could result in the countless loss of life if citizens "like you" did not step up and help. The system only works when people participate and do there part to save lives. Graphic elements will be layered upon a background layer
  • Thanks to the fact that you have decided to give back to your community, when your neighbor calls 911, you know that someone will be there to respond.
