  • Othello is driven mad by Iago's constant lies about his wife and proceeds to strike her in public
  • These letters give, Iago, to the pilot; And by him do my duties to the senate: That done, I will be walking on the works; Repair there to me.

  • a herald informs the people of the generals decisions and also lets them know about a feast
  • Othello interrogates both his wife and Emilia about his wife's supposed unfaithfulness, even though the both provide sound reasoning that she has not been unfaithful Iago's lies have already convinced him and no amount of proof allows him to change his mind.
  • once alone outside with Othello, Iago begins attempting to plant thoughts of wrong-doing by his wife and Cassio in Othello's head, he is largely successful.
