Lear refuses to see Cordelia, since he is not only mad but also very ashamed for what he did to her.
Gonereil wants to kill Albany....
Cordelia learns there is no cure for her father's disease. Apart from a long sleep - usually in Shakespeare referring to death.
Leading to the “cliff”. Edgar makes Gloucester believe he jumped down the cliff and survived. The pretends to be another man who saw him "jump and land".
Oswald tries to murder Gloucester for the rewards Regan was offering. Edgar sees a letter from Gonereil to Edmund plotting about how to get “rid” of Albany (kill him), in order for them both to be together.
Edgar stops him from killing Gloucester and kills Oswald instead
