  • I guess because us Spaniards are losing power in Europe we may give you some of our land in America.

  • OK, then let us sign this treaty that give France the right to the Louisiana territory.

  • Back in 1763 the French and Indian war ended , since the French had lost they were in a great deal debt and needed some money.

  • Lets sell it to the Americans for 11,000,000 dollars.

  • On April 30, 1803, the Louisiana purchase was singed. It was a treaty between France and the U.S.A.
  • Thomas Jefferson had become the president of the United States of America in the year 1801.
  • Hello gentlemen, it is I Thomas Jefferson. Now that we have this astonishing 828,000 square miles, and for only ruffly 3 cents per acres, our farmers can have a much more efficient way to trade and sell goods along the Mississippi river.
