  • Hello there, I'm Sarah, and I'm going to take you through the Renaissance time period. Renaissance is a very intriguing time! Many famous people, such as Leonardo Da Vinci,and Galileo lived during this time period. Many wars were also fought during this time. Religion was major in these days. Lets Go!
  • This is where Galileo invented the telescope to proved Copernicus' heliocentric theory! Exciting!
  • In this room, Gutenberg invented the Printing Press. The Reformation was very successful because of the Printing Press!
  • The Protestants were the ones who had broken away from the Catholic Church. The Protestant Reformation was led by Martin Luther, who was the one who created the 95 theses. The 95 theses were 95 reasons against selling indulgences. Also, John Calvin and King Henry VII broke away from the church. John Calvin believed that God had already chose where you were set to go when you die (Predestination), and King Henry VII wanted to divorce his wife, but the Pope had rejected him. He created the Anglican Church or also known as the Church of England. As a result of the Reformation, We now have many different types of Catholic.
  • The Catholic Reformation was a very interesting time for the Catholic Church. Many people such as Martin Luther, John Calvin, and King Henry VII did not agree with the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church had too much power, focused on money, and did not focus enough on God. They began selling indulgences which reinforces the focused on money point.
  • The Reformation was a time where the Catholic Church focused too much on money, and not enough on God. Since the time of the Reformation, we have developed many different types of Catholic.
