Storyboard Text

  • "Jonas has been selected to be our next Receiver of Memory."
  • Call to Adventure
  • The next day...
  • "Close your eyes. Relax. This will not be painful."
  • "What are you going to do, sir?"
  • "I am going to transmit the memory of snow."
  • Beyond, through the swirl of what he now, somehow, perceived was the thing the old man had spoken of-snow-he could look out and down a grat distance. He was sitting on a thing called sled. Even as he thought the word "mound", his consciousness told him hill.
  • The beginning of the Adventure
  • Once more, toward dawn, the new child woke and cried out. Again Jonas went to him. This time he quite deliberately placed his hands firmly on Gaberiel's back, and reased the rest of the calming day on te lake. Again Gaberiel slept.
  • Road of trials
  • Jonas simply smiled and nodded, not ready to lie, not willing to tell the thruth.
  • The experience with unconditional love
  • "You slept soundly, Jonas?, No dreams?"
  • "Sit up, Jonas, you may stay here tonight. I want to talk to you. But you must be quiet now, while I notify your family unit. No one must hear you cry."
  • Refusual of the return
  • "I know, I know. It hurts, little guy. But I have to use a vein, and the veins in your arms are too teeny-weeny."
  • "i won't! I won't go home! You can't make me!"
  • He had stolen his father's bicycle. He had hesitated for a moment, standing beside the bikeport in the darkness , not wanting anything of his father's and uncertain, as well, whether he could comfortably ride the larger bike when he was so accustomed to his own. But it was necessary because it had child seat attached to the back. And he had taken Gaberiel, too.
  • The magic flight
