Storyboard Text

  • Okay.
  • First, I'm going to explain to you what the skeletal system is to give you a better understanding of your condition.
  • Your skeletal system is a structure that holds your body up. it allows you to walk, jog, and run by using all your bones and muscles together.
  • How does it do all that?
  • It gets help from your cartilage, tendons, and ligaments.
  • How do the bones move and bend?
  • Well, mobile joints like hinge, gliding, pivot, ball-and-socket joints assist the body in its everyday movements.
  • You mean the body has all those joints inside of it?
  • Yes, and if you care for your body correctly then your skeletal system will work properly for years.
  • Wow! I definitely will be watching out for my skeletal system more now that I know how important that it is.
  • No problem, and make sure to come back for your next check-up, Carol!
  • Thank you, Dr. Park I learned so many important things today!
