A famine causes Naomi and her family to move to Moab. Hr sons and husband die and near destitute she moves back to Bethlehem wiht Ruth who then work in the fields of Boaz for the barley harvest.
Ruth married into the Hebrew family of Elimelich and Naomi when they left Bethlehem to Moab. Ruth decided to go back to Bethlehem with Naomi. Ruth would glean in the fields and meet Boaz. Boaz asked Ruth to marry her and they did.
David is depicted as a valorous warrior of great renown, a poet, and a musician. He is viewed as a righteous and effective king in battle and civil and criminal justice. He is sometimes described as a man after God's own heart.
Yohanan ben Zaccai was one of the tannaim, an important Jewish sage. He was a primary contributor to the core text of Rabbinical Judaism. He is often called "Rabban." H is regarded as one of the most important Jewish figures of the time.
