  • It really does look like him.

  • I've thought about this a lot and I really think... if I looked like him, seriously, I think that I'd kill myself.
  • Outcome
  • August enters homeroom and hears Julian, Jack and another kid talking rudely about him. Since everybody is dressed up for Halloween, no one knows he is listening and he hears terrible things said about him.
  • Initial Dialogue or Event
  • Are you talking to me Freddy Krueger? I don't think you want to mess with me.
  • August hears Jack say that he would rather kill himself than look like August. This hits August hard who is devastated by the news.
  • Propels the Action by...
  • Ouch!
  • August starts crying hysterically and he leaves the classroom with no one noticing. He goes into the boys bathroom until he stops crying and then goes to the nurse, telling her that he has a stomach ache so that his mom can pick him up.
  • Outcome
  • As Jack gets pushed to the ground by Eddie, the leader of a group of seventh graders , Amos, Henry and Miles come to the rescue. Amos tells the group to stop messing with August and Jack.
  • Look we're a lot smaller than you guys.
  • Hey stop messing with them.
  • Eddie doesn't listen to Amos and grabs August's hood, pulling him to the ground. Saving August from getting beat up more, Amos charges Eddie and tackles him to the ground. Miles, who has never been friends with Auggie, pulls him up and helps him run away.
  • Auggie come on get up we have to get out of here.
  • Amos and his friends run away from the seventh graders with August and Jack. Miles helps August through the whole run even though he never talked with August, much less be kind to him.
  • Come on guys we have to lose them!
