Bloody Sunday: The people protested peacefully outside of the czars palace for better conditions, only to find out he was not there. The guards instead attacked the people and killed 100-1,000 innocent people.
We want rights!
October Manifesto: The czar agreed to create basic human rights for the people by creating representatives for the people called The Duma.
March 1917: The March Revolution began and Czar Nicholas II was overthrown by the people and instead they created a democracy for 9 months.
Seizing Power: Once Lenin created a group for himself and the communist Lenin and the Bolsheviks overthrew the democracy and took over.
The New Economic Policy: Lenin advocated communist teachings with some form of capitalism. People can now sell surplus crops instead of giving it up to the government, and some small factories, business' and farms could be privately owned.
Communist Party and the USSR: Lenin created a new form of government called the communist party. He also changed the name of Russia to the USSR (Union of Soviet Soviet Socialist Republics).
Lenin is the best leader of the USSR.
