Storyboard Text

  • Hey Dad! How was your day? I went to the doctor today he said my blood pressure is really good. But what is it actually?
  • Oh my day was good? So what was your blood pressure?
  • I think it was 118 to 80?!
  • That is an optimal number; let me explain it to you!
  • So what are the two numbers?
  • Our blood flow is generated by the pumping of our hearth. The pressure is produced by the resistance of blood vessels.
  • So blood pressure is systolic/diastolic. Systolic pressure is the pressure in the arteries during contraction of the ventricles. So the higher number. Diastolic pressure is the pressure in the arteries at rest.
  • So what affect our blood pressure?
  • It really depends. Usually your blood pressure is really high when you do sports, when you are nervous or so.
  • And mom told me if you are sick the blood pressure will be different. For example if you have a special illness.
  • Exactly the doctor actually takes youre blood pressure always. It does not matter why.
  • Thanks dad.
