Edgar Allen Poe poem animation
The narrator didn't like the old man having the "eye of a vulture", so he planned on killing him
The old man went to bed, so the narrator snuck into his room very sneakily and hid in the dark. The old man heard the narrator make a small sound, and freaked out. The old man's heart beat extremely fast and extremely loud according to the narrator.
So the the narrator grabbed the old man and suffocated him under the covers to stop the noise, and kill the old man.
The narrator took the old man's body, chopped it up, and hid it under the floor boards.
The police rang the doorbell to investigate the shriek they heard from the old man, which the narrator smiled and said the old man was gone at the time, and the shriek was from him. He then let them investigate through the house, knowing they wouldn't find the old man's body parts. The narrator invited the police into the room where he hid the old man's body parts out of confidence they wouldn't find him.
They then were chatting with the narrator and that's when the narrator started hearing the heart beats again. The narrator saw the two police men laughing, and assumed they heard the heart beats too, but were just mocking him. The narrator then freaked out and revealed where he hid the old man.
