  • During World War One, Women took jobs previously held by men in factories due to the lack of working men.
  • Omg. Totes my goats!
  • Girl, I just feel so free without stupid guys.
  • The number of working women increased by 25%. Many women found work as Secretaries, or "girl Fridays".
  • How 2 haz safe babbies.
  • By 1920, Women had won the right to vote!
  • But but why?!?! Stawp this, become dependent on me again plz, pretty plz.
  • I'm independent now. Suck it!
  • Some women known as flappers liberated themselves from their traditional roles as housewives and explored their new freedom. They dressed in new styles, smoked in public, and were sexually liberated.
  • The Sheppard-Towner Maternity Act of 1921 gave instruction in maternal health care
  • But as the women were progressing towards social and political equality, there was much opposition from the men.
