  • Two young Capulet servants swagger across the stage, joking and bragging. When they meet servants from the rival house in Montague
  • Down with the Capulets! Down with the Montagues!
  • Count Paris, a young nobleman, asking Capulet for permission to marry his daughter, Juliet. 
  • Of honorable reckoning are you both
  • You will meet Juliet, her mother, and her nurse. The nurse, a merry and slightly crude servant, has been charge of her since her birth.
  • Now, by my maidenhead at twelve year old, I bade her come.
  • Lady Capulet is matchmaking, trying to convince her daughter that Paris would make a good husband.
  • Marry, that "marry" is the the very theme i came to talk of.
  • It is the evening of the capulet masque, or costume ball. Romeo and his friends join the procession
  • Not I, believe me. You have dancing shoes with nimble soles
  • Romeo suddenly sees Juliet and falls in love at first sight
  • O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do! They pray:grant thou. lest faith turn to despair
