  • I think you should read out all of the names on your list, in order.
  • Ok, Nick Bottom, the weaver. You are Pyramus,a lover that kills himself for love.
  • I will be amazing. I could play this part in any number of ways. The audience will cry with me.
  • Flute, you will play Thisbe, the lady that Pyramus loves.
  • Do I have to? I'm growing a beard.
  • Let me play Thisby too. I have a voice that is soft and delicate.
  • No. Robin Starveling, the tailor, you must play Thisby's mother and Tom Snout, the tinker, you will be Pyramus' father. I will be Thisby's father. Snug, you play the lion.
  • Ok.
  • Is the lion part written? I am not good at learning my lines.
  • Ok.
  • Let me play the lion too. I could roar like a real lion, and I'd be very scary.
  • No, you're Pyramus. Actually, we need to be careful that we don't scare the ladies in the audience. We'd be executed!
  • I could do it! I'd roar so softly and sweetly that nobody would be afraid!
