  • Summer was ending and autumn was taking over when the main character Doodle was born. He was born with a tiny body that was wrinkled and a big head. His family didn't have any hope that he would survive but his aunt thought otherwise since he was born in a caul which is a cloth made from Jesus nightgown.
  • RISING ACTION
  • Doodle's father didn't have any hope that he would survive, so he had a coffin made for him. Three months had gone by and Doodle was still breathing so his parents decided to name him. They wanted to name him William Armstrong but it was a name with a big meaning to it so his brother started calling him Doodle which ended up being his name.
  • CLIMAX
  • Brother, i'm tired. I can't keep up anymore because i feel weak.
  • Even though Doodle was a three month old, breathing, and growing baby, he still couldn't move around like a normal baby would. Instead, he would just stay in the center of the bed which mad his mother sad and his brother because they realised that Doodle wouldnt be able to do things with them.
  • RESOLUTION
  • NOOOO DON'T LEAVE ME DOODLE!!!
  • One day, Doodles brother decided to show him the coffin/casket that was made for him because everyone believed that he was going to die someday. Doodle felt like a disappointment, so he decided that he wanted his brother to teach him how to walk properly.
  • Doodle was learning how to walk when him and his brother realized that there was a storm coming so they decided to leave. It started raining and Doodle couldn't keep up with his brother anymore because he felt weak, and his brother decided to leave him because he was being lazy.
  • Well i'm leaving with or without you.
  • When Brother goes to check up on Doodle, he realizes that he is dead and then the story ends with the author who was his brother telling the audience Doodles story and how he died.
