  • Martin Luther was a German professor of theology, composer, priest, former monk and a seminal figure in the Protestant Reformation.This "Holy Staircase" consists of 28 steps of Tyrian marble that legend holds were the actual staircase of Pilate's house.
  • Diet of Worms
  • Martin Luther wrote the “The 95 Theses,” a list of questions and propositions for debate. Popular legend has it that on October 31, 1517 Luther defiantly nailed a copy of his 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Castle church.
  • German Bible
  • The 5 solas names was Sola Scriptura is the Christian doctrine. Sola Fide also historically known as the doctrine of justification by faith alone. Sola Gratia was propounded to summarise the Reformers' basic beliefs during the Protestant Reformation. Solus Christus is the Reformation teaching that salvation comes from Jesus Christ and is outside of human effort. Soli Deo Gloria is a phrase glory of God.
  • An imperial diet was a formal deliberative assembly of the whole Empire. This one is most memorable for the Edict of Worms (Wormser Edikt), which addressed Martin Luther and the effects of the Protestant Reformation. It was conducted from 28 January to 25 May 1521, with the Emperor Charles V presiding.
  • The German Bible was made because everybody could not read it. So the priests would tell everybody that went to church anything like god said to give the church all of your money. They didn't know if that was true or not. It got made because Martin Luther shared his 95 theses to everybody. So he was kept in the Wartburg Castle.
