  • (sarcasm)  " Did he not straight pious rage the two delinquents....'twould have angered any heart alive to hear the men deny't. "
  • Act III Scene 6
  • "Thither Macduff Is gone to pray the holy king upon his aid to wake Northumberland and warlike Siward.... we may again sleep to our nights, Free from our feasts and banquets bloody knives"
  • Where is macduff!?  I will have war  and protect my throne as king.

  • A Scottish lord and Lennox bring to consideration with the idea  of Macbeth  being the  one  involved with the cleaving    murder of King Duncan and Banquo.
  • The Lord mentions how Macduff has gone to  help where Duncans's son Malcolm is staying  and raising an army to gain the power he deserves in the Scottish  throne for the best of the people.
  • Macbeth is angered by Macduffs refusal to see him and is now also preparing for war  to protect his throne  and power as king.
