Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Odysseus finds out that him and his son Telemachus are in the same hut but Odysseus is disguised as a beggar. Athena then calls Odysseus outside to allow Odysseus's son to see him as he re-enters the hut.
  • Conflict
  • Odysseus and Telemachus want to overthrow the suitors to take back what was his.
  • Rising Action
  • Odysseus meets with the Phaeacians to come up with a plan that will overthrow the suitors,
  • Climax
  • They've come up with a plan which would be a surprise attack from within the palace. Odysseus will enter the palace disguised while Telemachus hides the weaponry inside the palace.
  • Falling Action
  • As Odysseus returns to his palace, his wife, Penelope welcomes him as a beggar, and offers him to sleep in a bed but, Odysseus declines, and would prefer to sleep on the ground.
  • Resolution
  • When Odysseus enters the bedroom, Eurycleia offers Odysseus to wash his feet, Odysseus accepts the offer. As Eurycleia washes his feet she notices that the beggar (Odysseus) has the same scar that Odysseus had. She finds out that it is Odysseus and keeps it as a secret.
