Storyboard Text

  • The Will 'o' The  Wisp, meets other messengers who have also letters from their people to  tell the Childlike Empress about "The Nothing". "The Nothing" is a unknown thing that appeared out of no where, and also erases anything that it touches from existence.
  • As every doctor in all of Fantastica  argue on what the unknown illness that came about the Childlike Empress, and where the "The Nothing" came from , Chiron the best doctor in all of Fantastica enters the room. He tells everyone that he must find a hero and give the Auryn  to them in order to save Fantastica.
  • Chiron tracks down a boy, named Atreyu,  with the power of power of the Auryn.   Chiron explains to Atreyu  that the  Childlike  Empress is dying and when she dies their world will  die too. He tells him to visit Morla who lives at the Swamp of Despair. Atreyu agrees and starts his journey.
  • Atreyu finally reaches Morla, who turns out to be a giant turtle who talks to herself due to being lonely her whole lifetime. Atreyu tries to ask her about where he must go next, but all she tells him is gibberish. The only information that was helpful to Atreyu was about Ygramul the Many.
  • As Atreyu is looking for Ygramul he spots the being, but also sees a luck dragon fighting for its life. Ygramul spots Atreyu  believing that they have another meal  However as soon as  they look closer at him they notice the Auryn around his neck. They tell him that they bite someone their venom will transport the victim to the first place they think of. 
  • After the confrontation with Ygramul, Atreyu notices the luck dragon  next to him. The  luck dragon tells him the his name is Falkor, but as soon as Atreyu was about to introduce himself  Falkor passes out. Atreyu wanting to call  for help  passes out as well due to the venom. Luckily , two gnomes take them to  their home and tend to their wounds. They also tell him about the oracle and the three gates.
