  • Seat-belt Law.
  • Step One!
  • A Father is not wearing a seatbelt, along with his son?
  • Step Two!
  • There should be a law about that!
  • A father and son went down the street without a seat belt with no problems. Can you change something about that?

  • Step Three!
  • There should be a law requiring seat belts, and if the driver or passengers aren't wearing a seatbelt, they are given a fine.
  • A Constituent saw a father and son driving down the street without a seat belt. He told his parents later that day, and they sent an email about it to their representative.
  • Step Four!
  • There should be a law requiring seat belts, and if the driver or passengers aren't wearing a seatbelt, they are given a $100 Fine.
  • A Representative rights up the bill and sends it the House of Representatives.
  • Step Four!
  • A Seat Belt law? Ill sign it!
  • The bill is sent to the House of Representatives where it is revised. Then it is sent to the Senate.
  • Yes, there should be law. But lets make the fine a $100!
  • The Senate receives the revised bill and decides on whether to keep the changes, or change it as well.
  • We agree with this! It's fair and needed!
  • The President signs the bill, turning the bill into a law.
