There goes another one
Driving in Iceland is beautiful but can be dangerous. You must share the narrow road with massive tour buses and Chinese drivers willing to pull off into the ditch and strand themselves for a photo.
I remember when we took the train to Glacier NP. Another tedious mode of travel, but at least we could get up and move about a bit. The scenery kept passing. No stops for photos.
There, we walked. Around ten miles a day, wearing heavy packs. We had to keep moving to get to our next site, and didn't have time to enjoy the scenery. I guess there is no perfect mode of travel.
