Our class is going on a field trip to Mali!
Mali is located in Western Africa. Mali is located on the Niger River. Since it is near the Sahara Desert, Mali's climate is very dry.
Why is it so dry here?
The hierarchy in Mali consists of kings at the top, then priests, griots, villagers, and slaves. In Mali, the natives speak traditional African, and are Islamic.
The people of ancient Mali, were traders, farmers, and miners. Mali's government is a monarchy.
The economy of Mali is solely based on their surplus of gold and salt
The people of the ancient Mali empire were Muslims, following the Islamic faith.
