  • Romeo (Montague) admires Juliet (Capulet) from a far
  • Her beauty is too good for this world; she’s too beautiful to die and be buried.
  • Tybalt (Juliet's Cousin) wants to confront Romeo,but Capulet calms him down
  • Uncle, this is a Montague, our foe, A villain that is hither come in spite To scorn at our solemnity this night.
  • Content thee, gentle coz. Let him alone. He bears him like a portly gentleman
  • Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time
  • Your hand is like a holy place that my hand is unworthy to visit.
  • Good pilgrim, you don’t give your hand enough credit. By holding my hand you show polite devotion.
  • The audience knows that Romeo likes Juliet,because of the language Shakespeare is using to describe Juliet. This part of the scene is an example of love at first site, because Romeo quickly falls in love with Juliet even though this is his first time seeing her. From this part of the scene we can see how deeply in love Romeo is.
