  • Rising Action
  • Climax
  • The narrator is in his room reading a book on a cold , dreary December at midnight almost asleep. Suddenly the narrator hears a tapping at his door and wakes up.
  • Falling Action
  • The narrator went to go see who was rapping and tapping at his door and to his or her surprise it was no one. the narrator is now begging to wonder what is wrong with him or her. Sudenly the narrator hears the taping once more and is very startled. He or she thinks the noise is coming from thy window and goes to open it. Then a raven flies in.
  • Resolutoin
  • The narrator is puzzled and wonders what the raven wants and is doing here. The narrator now begins to ask the raven some questions " Why are you here", "Are you here to help me forget Lenore?", "Will I ever see Lenor again?". Then the raven replies "Nevermore"
  • Onomatopoeia
  • The narrator becomes frustrated with the bird and starts freaking out. he begins to throw stuff around and becomes weary and sits down.
  • The narrator is angry and disappointed that he will never see his beloved Lenore again.
  • When the narrator says that the raven says " Nevermore" through out the story
