- The kingdom of Ghana lasted from 500 c.e. to 1200 c.e, during those years a powerful king must rule the kingdom
- Camels helped us develop the Trans-Saharan trade route
- The Wangara people were very interesting. They had plentiful gold, which they received from hidden gold mines.
- The Taghaza people were excellent salt miners. They valued it far more than gold because of its many uses. For example they can use it to help preserve meat and keep a healthy life.
- The tax system here in Ghana is very excellent and very efficient. The way it works is quite simple. If you import something to Ghana you pay taxes and if you import something from Ghana you pay taxes. If you buy and sell in Ghana you pay no taxes.
- Kumbi was the capital city of Ghana and it was great to trade there. It also had the largest slave markets in West Africa.
